Before diving into the specifics of how to adjust your watch's date and day of the week, let's cover some general information about automatic watches. Automatic watches have a crown that can be pulled to different heights to adjust the time and date functions of the watch. First, you need to make sure the watch is fully wound by wearing it for a while or winding it manually. This ensures that the watch has enough power to run and the hands can turn accurately.
To adjust the date on an automatic watch, you need to find where the crown adjusts the date function, marked "Date" or "D" on the dial or manual. Once you find it, pull it out to the first click, then turn the crown counterclockwise until it reaches the correct date. Be very careful as turning the crown clockwise can damage the mechanism. After setting the correct date, push the crown back in.
